This past year, William has grown and changed so much.  He went from having a few teeth to a mouth full.  He fully feeds himself.  He potty trained himself at 19 months (ask me in person about that one lol). The little boy is full of personality.  He loves trucks and tractors with his favorites being the fire truck, ambulance, and lawn mower.  He went from not talking at all to telling us all kinds of things! His brown eyes light up the room as long as you're his friend :-) He is a little shy but warms up to people pretty quickly now.  He loves to snuggle in the morning while drinking his milk.  He likes things his way, like even the cabinet doors lol.  This guy's smile warms us and sometimes has us cracking up! He is full of energy and excited about the new adventures of each day like hearing a choo choo or an animal sound or ramming cars into the wall!
This little one is such a joy to us! He is a great blessing from the Lord.  I'm not going to act as though it isn't hard to parent this sweet one, because it is some days. There are many tears and disciplining isn't fun for anyone involved.  But my oh my how he can make us smile and laugh.  His imagination is vivid and he has so much fun! When we pray at meals, he throws in the people he wants to pray for too.  That is such a sweet thing each day! It is also a reminder of what our role is and what God has called us to.  We are to train little William up in the teaching of our Lord.  It is our job to see that he knows who made him and why he was made.  And even now at this sweet little age, it is our job to let him know his need for Jesus by showing him our need for Jesus.  It is only through Christ's work that our sin can be forgiven. My sin is sometime easy to spot but even this precious boy's sin will need to be paid for.  Jesus has done that for those who put their faith and trust in Him.  May the Lord guide us as we try to point William to Jesus and may the Lord rescue him at such a young age that he won't remember a time when he wasn't walking with Jesus in this life.  William, we love you more than you could ever know.  We love you more than we could ever show you.  Yet, God loves you perfectly and that's way better than we could ever give you!!! Lord, give us the grace to journey with William in such a way that points to you and glorifies you most!
