Waiting on dad to put on his skates

it's like riding a bike, you never forget, and you only fall once or twice while remembering :)

5 years apart

twice a year our hot water turns off for a week, this is our bath for that week

I started to do a "day in the life" photo...but turned out to take more time than I had that day but I made it to 12 I think.
Started here with raw tomatoes, to get started making spaghetti.  During the summer, when tomatoes are cheap, we have a local friend jar like 20-30 big jars of tomatoes to use during the winter.  This year, a few of mine went bad so I didn't quite make it to summer again by the time I needed to start making tomato based recipes from raw tomatoes again.  So I had to start right at the beginning of spring this year.  Here's how it starts.

I cut out the part of the tomatoes that holds the stem and then put them in boiling water for a few minutes.

take a moment to check the dryer to see if the clothes are dry, transfer clothes from the washer to the dryer (yes, that is the dryer around here)

Start the dish washer...which looks very similar to my own two hands :)..and put them on the drying rack.

while listening to the word, or a song sometimes,

check the time on the washer...one load take 1 hour and 49 minutes to complete. and it holds maybe one day's worth of clothes minus any extras or jeans.

Check on baby :) all smiles
tummy time while mommy finishes the tomatoes

drain the water

take the peels off the tomatoes

let baby girl swing since this might take a few minutes
put the peeled tomatoes in a pot and season and let simmer for an hour or tow

make sauce for spaghetti on the stove and another tomato based rice in the crock to maximize the time!!

laundry in the washer finished

try to study while straightening hair because of the hot water being out...I pretty much made it the whole week only and only washed my hair once lol

get big kids home from school and read some books. That's as far as I made it on my day in the life pictures :)

boiling water for baths

Saw this car on the way home from getting the kids, you'd have to zoom in to see that the back driver's side wheel is up in the air because he drove his front wheels off into the gully!

william wrote a note to some friends he made in thailand but he didn't know you can't put the words wherever you want after you run out of space...so we just cut it all out and put it on the board and took a picture to send to them instead :)
