February 2016

February was full! Full of ups and down and all in betweens.  With the last few weeks of winter, we had several things going on.  Kaitlynn turned 3 years old!! We spent the morning with her as a family at a play area after opening gifts and then had a birthday party for her with just ladies in the evening.  We playdates with friends. Jeremy and I went on a dinner date because precious friends of ours played with and fed William and Kaitlynn for us.  William said goodbye to his teacher and old friends at the preschool he had been attending for 10 months and William and Kaitlynn said hello to new teachers and new friends at their new preschool, which they are loving most days :) Oh and in the mix William had strep with Scarlet fever and Kaitlynn got a concussion from falling from the top of a 6 foot tall slide....yes it was a month that was full :) God blesses us and protects us and takes care of us more than we can see, but this month He gave us a tiny glimpse by protecting our children A LOT and showing us a glimpse of how He provides for us!
Here are my favorite photos from the month:
Kaitlynn thought the best place for toe nail painting was the bucket.

And she did a great job :)

Cute outfit from cousin Tegan :)

Everyone knows a good doctor needs a head lamp!

A new supermarket in town even has a little shopping cart just her size to help mommy!

Both kids in preschool for a few hours means intense study time for me. I thought this cappuccino was decorated really cool lol :) Everyone needs a bunny and carrot to help them study their best!

The slides...the green one is the one from which Kaitlynn fell 6ft to get her concussion!

They pretended they were in Africa for this one

William, taking chances and being a boy

First day of new preschool!! Both were so excited!!

Schedule at preschool which I can't read because it's in the language William and Kaitlynn are learning which is different than the language Jeremy and I are learning...yes this can be a bit complicated :)

The amazing train set William put together after his first day of school.  He was so excited and liked his teacher so much, he asked me to take a picture to show her!

This little guy builds some pretty amazing things with his legos!

Growing up so fast!

pictures during first day of school

There's my funny guy who doesn't like to pose for the camera very often!

sad at first...

but opening up and enjoying school a little more with time.
If you know of the struggle I had the whole time William was at his old school, let me tell you, we prayed diligently for a school that would fit for what we needed for the kids to learn the language that would also give me the time to study as well but would be a safe and caring environment.  God provided that! We are so thankful for the staff and teachers at this new school and know this was the best move for us and at the perfect time!

I got the unique opportunity to go to a local concert.  The artist's name is Rayhon...which translates to  Basil in english.  The concert was really cool and even had a really funny thing for us to watch as foreigners.  They showed lots of blooper videos from westerner's weddings and then sang the most beautiful song showing how perfect their weddings are in comparison....PEOPLE stop putting EVERYTHING on the internet, lol, the whole world watches it :)

SO thankful to have this woman as my friend!

Rayhon entered the stage from the ceiling...didn't expect that!

Beautiful song in respect of this place including traditional clothing and the flag!

These guys love to read (or be read to) so they wanted these comic books at a store...

"Mommy, read it to me" You should have seen their response when I said, sweetie, mommy is sorry but I can't read that language...they looked at me like what?!? lol

This man has my heart.

Picture board at the end of the first week of school...William is the one in the bottom left hand corner

The school has a playground....made out of plastic!!! NOT metal!!!

And one made out of wood...how brilliant :) not metal!
