January 2015

The first month of 2015 has now come and almost gone! That's crazy! :)
Here is a glimpse into the last month of our lives (End of Dec through end of Jan).  Hope you'll enjoy seeing these pictures as much as I enjoyed looking through them this evening!
Samantha went to an end of the year ladies' celebration, quite the cultural experience including seeing a lady "read" another lady's palm, learning about traditional dancing, and tons (tons) of food.

We visited the train museum!

One of our neighbor's New Year's Tree.  It is a bit overwhelming to see all the same decor but for a different celebration. Thankful our first Christmas here and our future Christmases are centered on the never changing love of Christ, whether we use decorations to celebrate or not!

Chocolate Bread was the December snack of choice....local brand of Nutella

Hats!

We went with our neighbors to the big new year celebration....with MANY MANY MANY people. Quite overwhelming for Samantha especially :)

Thankful for the little things! Found this egg carrier thing at the bazaar and it's been extremely helpful in walking eggs home with other groceries without nasty accidents since you buy eggs individually here.

Just swinging at the playground on the warmest day of winter.

HATS!

William playing futbol with some older kids from our neighborhood and loving every minute.  You could hear his laugh from down the street!

In their "boat" (also known as their bunk bed)

Winter has arrived! Late January looks beautiful here.

HATS :)

A friend teaching Samantha to cook the national  and beloved dish

At the new years celebration

Fun at the indoor play area since we can't play outside

Samantha celebrated turning 30 with a group of friends for lunch and then went out with this sweet friend for coffee.  Thankful for a few awesome cafes here with delicious coffee :)

From our trip to the theater

Hey, Mom, I'm ready to go play in the snow now, right?
