June 2014
June flew by the most quickly of all the months so far of this year to me! It was here and gone before I even knew it! We did our best to make the most of our time at the beginning of June. We visited my family in southwest GA. We loved our time with Papa and Yaya, Edward, Christy, and Brady, oh and don't forget the dogs lol (Banditt and Precious). It was the last time we would see a few extended family members for the next few years so we enjoyed a couple of pop in visits as well. We got to visit with Gramm, had a date with a babysitter (hooray), helped send off a friend to a rehab program, had a weekend visit with best friends Keith and Angie and had dinner with some sweet friends.
Mid month, we got a disturbing call about Papa. Ronnie (Papa) has been my stepfather for over 15 years now and has stood beside my mom through some really tough times over those years. He has COPD and has had some heart and lung issues and battled prostrate cancer himself a few years back. He got to coughing one night and couldn't get his strength or breath back during the coughing spell. My mom took him to the hospital to find out later that he had bleeding on his brain. We got to go see him once they started draining the blood off and he has since made huge strides toward recovery. He is still weak but is at home. Could you please pray for him and for my mom? She will taking care of him until he is fully recovered one day and need prayer from people who know and love Jesus. Pray also that this difficult time would draw them into deeper relationship with Jesus and that, through His word, they would find Him, be strengthened, and learn to love Him above all else. We greatly appreciate those who stand in the gap and pray through the One who hears and can answer and show His great and mighty power!
We left the hospital and went directly into a week of training for our upcoming move. It was awesome. Challenging and encouraging all wrapped up in one! If you are interested in getting news about work related to that stuff, you can email one of us :-) When we got back from training, we had a week to get things ready and wrapped up to leave again. We are living in another state now as we do more in-depth training and will be here until September. It's been fun and exciting to meet new friends and build relationships and also sad to be away from those we love.
Anywho....we have just a few pictures to share!
