December 2013.
In 2013 we became a family of four after only having been a family of three for 16 months, flew to Central Asia and made new friends, spent time with family more than we had the year before, really got confirmation about our next steps moving overseas, completed more school, read some books, fought, cried, smiled, laughed, and so much more! It was quite the roller coaster for us! I mean looking back I'm seriously like whoa how did we make it through?!? The answer is simple. Christ. Jesus. On this solid rock I stand. Our marriage, our family, our future. Are built upon the only foundation that will not shift. Regardless of whether or not another year is near in which our faith will be tested more than this past year, we can stand. Our God is faithful, when we are faithless. Our God is patient, when we are impatient. Our God, is forgiving, when we hold grudges. Our God loves us, the unloving unlovables. As crazy as it was for us this past year, we are ready for the next step, the next chapter, the next whatever. Why? Because HE has concreted us into HIS STORY. NOTHING can snatch us from His hand. HE is the only one who is worthy of our praise when we've arrived at the end of a great year, just as HE is the only one who is worthy of our praise when we've arrived at the end of a year that was tiresome and trying. I'm so thankful that I have something to cling to no matter what. Jesus. His life. His death. His resurrection. His snatching me up and breathing life into me. His giving me what I need each step of the way since. His grace. All sufficient. Man, HOW AMAZING IS HIS GRACE!
