September 2016

From the camera, September 2016
William and Jeremy brought Kaitlynn (and I) some flowers.  William delivered the flowers to his sister and said "I'm thankful you are my sister"...she loved it! (even though we didn't capture that part on the camera)

funny girl

Independence Day included flags flying from people's sunroofs or windows. 25 years! Congrats!

Sweet little mommy (this is exactly how I managed my two when they were "two under two" and even into the threes lol)

made a flower from k-nexs.  His creativity is awesome!

Kaitlynn age 3 1/2

Learned how to play SkipBo junior this month

Lovies for Charlotte came this month! Thanks to some sweet friend here!

Melissa and Doug...they love it!

Trip to see the dinosaurs with some friends

a couple of cute dinos

I don't think this little one is too sure about that dinosaur

sunset beauty

I learned the amazing power of simple baking soda...no need to buy anything else!

helicopter William build himself; I'm sure it also has some sort of rescue device attachment coming soon

William's self portrait at school

They created a kitchen in their room including a place for their "tools" (the baby doll bed), an oven (the duplo house), and a pretty awesome fridge which stores lots of dishes (the styrofoam from something we bought a long time ago)...the oven and microwave combo has a display screen with a start and stop button made from duplos as well; these kiddos!

one little unknown fact about Samantha is that she can cover her nostrils with her top lip so she has never had to use her hand to hold her nose underwater...also makes for a great funny face pic...not many folks can do this. William also can do this odd trick :)

Both giving Charlotte some snuggles

Kailtynn's portrait at school...those long lines attached to the arms are fingers, of course.

morning snuggles

first time trying to make cinnamon rolls here...tiny bit different than using the premade packages I suppose, but turned out ok

Had never thought about how they made them into little rolls...now we know lol

what our house looks like when we have a little coloring or paint or pretty much anything fun!

Family movie night...watched half of Mary Poppins...the kids love Mary Poppins for some reason!

Kaitlynn learned to sit during her lesson at school this month...so the teacher was kind enough to send some pics :)

William's family portrait when he first started at his new school (not sure when he drew it but he started there about 6 or 7 months ago so it had to be sometime within the last 6 to 7 months)....

And in just a half a year...this is his family portrait now! Growing and changing and just surprising us each day!

Jeremy also got flowers this month lol Oct 1 is Teacher Day here and Jeremy has been volunteering at a school sometimes to give a fun english lesson; so they brought him flowers too!

New swing at the playground!!

Fall/Winter Clothes came out of storage and this little girl couldn't have been more excited to wear her sweater from a sweet friend of our family....three days in a row!!

The President passed away this month and the country showed him honor by displaying a black cord on the end of the flags that line the streets and having a nation wide three day grief period.  25 years of leading them during their 25 years of independence.

Finishing up his lunch at school...he likes to take his time

A package from Pop and Gramm arrived!!!

Kaitlynn got a princess dress!!

Jeremy's birthday wish came true when he opened a package of monster energy drinks!

Everyone wants to touch a dinosaur, duh.

Mom, feel the teeth!

Even baby dinosaurs must roar immediately after hatching!

Elevator ride with friends

A pool Mommy can reach in...the pools here tend to be very deep and I'm a bit short, so it has happened several times that the kids want to have wanted to swim when someone has a pool but I've not been able to be in with them...but this time it was PERFECT! Last swim for the season!

head first is more fun

New park has a really awesome playground!

3 1/2 and almost 5; where'd the time go!

jeremy's photography skills shining through here lol

tunnels for pipes dug by hand

William at school...I hope they were waitresses and not pretending to be two wives :-0  They seem to have all had fun

sweet classmates; most of william's class really seems to care about him and show and interest in helping him understand what is going on around him.  They seem to try to include him but don't push him too far outside of his limits.  This school has been a major blessing to us and has given William just environment to challenge him to learn their language while at the same time giving him the structure and caring environment he needs to be able to practice and feel safe to try to speak. His teachers are real jewels and even though Jeremy and I don't know the language they speak, we try our best to let them know they are precious to us and to William!

Eating at school

what he learns at gymnastics at school

Practicing writing her name in her english class...originally her paper said Kathleen or something similar to that and her name in Russian looks completely different than that, but they got it corrected so she might learn how to write her english name at russian preschool! We shall see!

Thanks for taking a glance through the window into our lives!
