April 2015

April 2015

We've officially lived in Central Asia for half a year! Six months! Still busy SLOWLY learning the language and doing life here. This first six months have been full of laughter and tears and we expect the next season to bring with it both as well.  The tears draw us closer to our God as we depend on Him to meet all our needs.  It all reminds us of our future hope because of His sacrifice for us so we can endure through anything and have a deep joy despite any of the hardships in the process! It's been a fun roller coaster so far and we anticipate He has much more on this ride called life, where ever we are! ON TO THE PHOTOS!!! :)

I found her here...

while I was trying to study a little....She decided to fall asleep on the floor!

This is how folks get the sorted trash to the places it needs to go.

Kaitlynn's  first and only pony tail day...maybe we will try again in a few weeks lol

At a local park, it's free to get in and it costs like $0.30-$0.50 to ride rides. Jeremy took William on a ride that looks decent enough...

The ride turned out to be more similar to the Scrambler!!! Three year old William has official ridden his first adult amusement ride!

From easter after we celebrated with friends

All the kiddos brought out their bikes when William and Kaitlynn got their new ones! It was fun!

We are so thankful our friends and family sent us a package!!! It was full of fun and helpful things that brought tears and memories to our minds.  William and Kaitlynn have enjoyed all the cool things people put in it for them!

Kaitlynn got a new stuffed kitty in the package and let's just say it's had quite the ride of it's little life since it arrived! (That's what's in her bike's basket)

We are learning to be as efficient as we can even in a very different culture.

I had a friend translate William's schedule for school for me.  It includes all sorts of fun things like an inspection in the morning, preparing for breakfast, breakfast, preparing for a walk, a walk, Dream time, breathing exercises, an air bath, and something that translates to toughening up....yes, even with the translation, I have no idea what they do lol It's just part of having him in a third language :) He still likes it most days.

Since she got her kitties in the mail, she has wanted to carry at least one stuffed animal everywhere she goes.  They are her babies and they cry and get fed and get disciplined and take naps several times each day.

A homemade popsicle requested by William made with fresh squeezed orange juice, sugar, water, and a plastic kids' knife...lol he loved it.

Her thinking face...hmmm.

Dr. O and his patient with a medicine tube in her mouth and all.

This animal's bottom teeth made me take a picture to share.  He was a part of the local amusement parks' zoo.  It's like a kid's dream world lol

Swinging together makes mommy smile.

Got my hair permed after having it straight for the last two or three years since I was pregnant with Kaitlynn...yes in another country, perms still stink.  We are well pleased with the outcome...much more pleased than I was with my first haircut here :) and coming in at less than $7, I can't beat it lol

Ice Cream break

At William's school, making a local thing that has no equivalent in the states for me to compare it to....cooks overnight, made from some sort of grass stuff, takes yummy to me but Jeremy doesn't like it, can be eaten alone or with other food, looks brown like chocolate but isn't sugary, kind of a natural sweet taste but not like sugar....lol it's a community project to make the stuff.

Our package! Thanks so much!

Playing with friends!

Look at his shirt.

She is a mess...literally.

enough said.

Hope you enjoyed a glimpse into our window...hope to share again next month!
Love,
Samantha and the Orlich Family
