"What's cookin' round here" April 2015

William made pizza this month
Pizza Dough III
(not sure of this Recipe's origin but it was passed to me by a precious friend who is an amazing cook and so much more! Thanks K!) (You can probably google the name and find the original recipe but I'll leave that to you :)

1 1/2 tablespoons active dry yeast (1 package if it's .25 ounce)
1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
2 cups flour
2 tablespoons olive oil (or any oil)
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons white sugar

In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.  Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, olive oil, salt, white sugar and the yeast mixture; stir well to combine. Beat well until a stiff dough has formed.  Cover and rise until doubled in volume, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grate the cheese, cut up kilbosa, and make your pizza sauce (unless you have these things already pre-made, of course.  We don't :) but it's still one of the easiest recipes to make!)

Turn dough out onto a well floured surface.  Form dough into a round and roll out into a pizza crust shape.  Cover with your favorite sauce and toppings and bake in the over until golden brown, about 20 minutes.  Or omit the sauce, cover with cheese and meat and then roll it up into a loaf like roll for what we call pizza bread and dip it into sauce.
Enjoy!!
